Becoming an Approved Driver

In order to drive a campus vehicle or rental, you must be on the approved driver's list. This is a requirement for our insurance company and the critiria that they set in place. Requirements are a little different to drive campus sedans and minivans, campus large passenger vans, and Enterprise vehicles. 

Becoming an Approved Driver Sedans and Minivans

  • Must be a current faculty member, staff member, or student

  • Must be at least 18 to drive campus sedans and minivans

    • Must be at least 21 to drive ANY Enterprise vehicle

  • Must have held a valid United States driver's license for at least 1 year

  • Must submit an MVR and driver's license to the Travel Coordinator at motorpool@wabash.edu 

    • Click HERE for the MVR form

  • Must pass a drivering background report, the Travel Coordinator will do this part

  • Must be on the approved driver's list (see above for instructions)

  • Must be at least 21

  • Must have held a valid United States driver's license for at least 3 years

  • Must pass an online large van course provided by the Travel Coordinator
